Dr. Thomas Koickal
Founder & CEO
Dr. Thomas Koickal is the Founder & CEO of Beach Theory.
An early adopter of AI technologies, Dr. Koickal is one of the longest serving practitioners of AI and machine learning, having 30 + years experience in AI encompassing sensory systems, computer vision, and natural language processing for diverse industry domains including healthcare, financial, space, technology and retail.
Prior to founding Beach Theory, he worked with the University of Edinburgh, UK and with the Indian Space Research Organization, VSSC, Trivandrum. He holds a PhD in machine learning from IIT, Kharagpur and post-doctoral research in on-chip learning neuromorphic circuits and systems.
Dr. Koickal has given a number of talks in the field of AI and his research works have been published in leading IEEE journals and conferences.
A zealous campaigner of AI, he serves as an advisor to start-ups and companies, helping businesses to remain competitive through innovation and adoption of AI, by sharing his 30+ years experience in AI domain. This includes providing strategic vision, thought leadership and competency building for product innovation and for winning large scale projects that may have multiple AI technologies and industry specific expertise.
