Responsibilities of the role include:
Analysing historical cancer data to reveal underlying patterns, correlations, and trends
Developing methods, algorithms and techniques to develop health care models to identify, detect and predict the occurrence of Cancer
Developing techniques to enhance cancer diagonosis and prognosis
Developing tests and computational tools to aid pattern recognition for cancer prediction and prognosis.
Using machine learning and statistical techniques to develop predictive analytic models
Acquiring a sophisticated understanding of medical data and on Beach Theory's proprietory technologies
Working in a collaborative group with like-minded, talented researchers, from a wide range of applied science and engineering disciplines
Applicants should have:
undergone a training programme as data scientist, analytics or equivalent.
A Bachelor/Masters/PhD in electrical engineering, computer science, statistics, math, physics or other relevant discipline.
Knowledge of machine learning, Bayesian statistics and statistical pattern processing along with the ability to develop original measures and tests fit for purpose.
The drive to see research projects through from beginning to end and hit deadlines.
An enthusiastic and collaborative approach to research, fueled by the desire to work with colleagues as motivated as you are.
Some Knowledge of R programming or equivalent high level math programming languages
